suzanne-collinsI love to read young adult books and of all the books I’ve read hunger games is my favorite.  There are three books in the hunger game series Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mocking Jay I have read them all and I can firmly state that Suzanne Collins is one of the best authors writing young adult literature. The premise of the hunger games is that there are no longer cities or states.  Everything is divided into districts. With food being in short supply each district must have it’s kids enter into a lottery to battle in the hunger games for food. One of the strongest elements of the books are it’s characters especially the main character Katniss. She is a very strong teenager and she goes through love, strong friendships, tough decisions, undying love for her family, life or death situations.

Suzanne Collins is also great about involving all her characters in the story. You know if someone interesting is introduces they will come back as an important character at a later point. In the books there are many characters, but in the story Suzanne always makes a point of talking about them more then once. If  for a while she doesn’t talk about a character she always brings them back into the story.

One of the best musicals I have seen! The Lion King had a great cast, Tony Freeman played the character, Zazu. The bird was a very enjoyable character to watch act and sing. The two children in the production were Jamariana Tribble and Madai Monica Williams as young Nala and Elijah Johnson and Jermoe Stephens Jr as young Simba. Timon played by Jered Tanner and Pumbaa played by Nicholas Carriere. The show had costumes that were amazing and intricate. Many people came to see the production of The Lion King, and it had a huge finish of clapping and shouting.

The conductor Rick Snyder did a fantastic job as well as the music coordinator Michael Keller. After seeing the production of The Lion King I knew that I wanted to go again to see it. Some audience members said that this years production was different from the ones in years past.

My rating of the Lion King would be highly recommended! This production is a have to see! Watching The Lion King was very exciting! Seeing all of the costumes, actors and actresses, and scenery was fantastic!  I defiantly think that in a few years or so I will go back to see it and find out if it is any different!

I have watched MANY, MANY movies, but lately I have seen some really crappy ones. One of the most recent ones is called “Land Of the Lost” and I thought I as ok but really I thought the concept was kind of funny but pretty much really, really crappy. Land of The Lost reminded me of a movie I watched a long time ago called Disaster Movie, and that I have to say was “overly crappy.” I am really starting to wonder if Movie Directors have decided to make more stupid movies then anything else. It seems that crappy movies is the new “trend.” Thanks to crappy movie directors I have seen a completely different view of movies.

My family and I get soup Cycle which is soup delivered to you every  Tuesday by Bike. You will get an email every couple of weeks telling you what soup is for that week and for a couple other weeks. I don’t know which of their soups is my favorite, I just like almost all of them. When you get your soup it comes with fresh baked bread and a  nice salad, their dressing is super delicious!

I won a couple domino tournaments and I was supposed to get two domino sets for my prizes, the sad thing is.. I won them at least 3-4 months ago and I haven’t gotten them yet.  If you go to http://www.dominochamp.com/ and win a tournament that isn’t money, don’t be upset if your prizes or prize doesn’t come. And playing dominoes is super fun so just make an account on http://www.dominochamp.com/ but just play games. And maybe not prize tournaments, maybe just the money ones.

A couple days ago my family and I went to the Mississippi  St. Fair, it was extremely crowded. Dr. Pepper was nice enough by giving out free Dr. Pepper Cherry, if you want my true answer on how I liked it, well… I hated it. the drink wasn’t cold so it tasted funny and the drink is made out of way to much sugary crap. If it was cold it might of  tasted a little better but the drink’s ingredients should be: Sugar, Cherry flavor,  Coloring  and more sugary crap. And really you don’t want to drink it.

My friend and I went to Powell’s  we were looking for a book and the people there to help was great! I first went to the info both to see if she knew about the book we were talking about but she told us to look in the completely wrong area. So I ask some man who worked there and he looked on their web to see if the had it, but they didn’t. So he let me get it shipped from one of their shops to the one we were at in a few days. Here is a picture of us trying to get help finding the book we wanted,

I just camp back from one week at B B camp in Lincoln City, I personally loved it.(and just so you now this is a Jewish Camp.) The activates are amazing like inner tubbing, swimming in their heated pool and much, much more! It is a sleep away camp down in Lincoln City right near Devil’s Lake.  The session I went to was kids going into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and eight graders. If it is your first time going to sleep away camp  you should go to B B camp for a week of fun! There are tons of cabins and they are put together by grades. so there was S-1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7. That is the girl’s cabin’s. And for the boys it’s N-1,2,4,5,6,7 and tattooers. There is no N-2 and the tattooers cabin is not tattooing.  If you want to sign up then you should try to sing up in November before the spots are taken. And there are two three week sessions.

This is one of my all time favorite camps!!
